I'm a PhD student at CERGE-EI. I visited UC, San Diego last year thanks to Fulbright. You can read about my experience at my blog.

I focus on theoretical understanding of economics of quality assurance mechanisms (certification, self-regulation). My advisor is Andreas Ortmann and I now also work with Joel Sobel. I also have some interest in educational systems (mainly matching of applicants and impact it has on quality). My general interest lie in microeconomics, mechanism design, asymmetry of information and its impact.

I like to solve puzzles, play games like TMOU and Bedna. I'm a founding member of legendary Prahory (both links in Czech only). I have also co-founded and chaired "Spolek přírodovědců Masarykovy Univerzity v Brně"(Society of Friend of Natural Sciences at Masaryk University in Brno), not just a student organization at Faculty of Sciences at Masaryk University in Brno. I'm using and recommend Gentoo, a special flavor of Linux.
